About Me

My name is Evelyn Munoz, and I am the creator of In The Land of Teaching.

I am a kindergarten teacher with 14 years of teaching experience. I started my career at the largest and most diverse elementary school district in Los Angeles, CA. I loved being immersed in so many cultures in my classroom. My love for all cultures inspired me to create resources to address my students' diverse needs. 

My time in the classroom has shown me the need for the right resources, mindset, teaching strategies, and classroom management strategies. Through experience in the classroom, I've learned that all students can learn to love learning and achieve high levels of academic success. 

I am certified and have worked with English Language Learner students and teachers as a coach/mentor. My leadership opportunities with teachers have allowed me to lead many teams throughout my career. I find joy in seeing how, as teams, we come together to achieve something greater than ourselves. The connections I’ve made with teachers, both through my time in the classroom and through my business have been invaluable.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, shopping on Amazon or Target, all things crafty, and watching TV shows.

I am a practical, research-based teacher who is here as your resource.
