"Basketball" Word Sorts A-Z

My kids love using "basketball" word sorts! Word sorts are interactive and fun My kids have a blast sorting words and "playing a basketball". Basketball sorting is one of my kids favorite way to practice sorting words into categories. They are engaged and LEARN so much while doing something they LOVE and I am a happy teacher. It's a win-win for both!

After modeling a few word sorts, my kids are able to do the worksheets independently. This pack covers letters, sounds, grammar and some content skills. Each worksheets touches on different foundational skills. The format is the same for all the worksheets: Students color, cut, sort, and glue. This makes it easy for students to work on these skills independently!

There are enough word sorts to use the entire school year! I put them in center, use them as word work, intervention or send as homework...the possibilities are endless!
